The Virginian-Pilot is proud to announce the winners of the 2009 Scholastic Achievement Scholarships.
The Virginian-Pilot Scholastic Achievement Scholarship and Recognition Program, established in 1961, is our annual salute to the best and brightest high school students from Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore, and northeastern North Carolina. More than 60 seniors competed for scholarship awards. The scholarships earned will be awarded directly to the college of the student's choice. Five exceptional students were awarded as follows:
